P-Line's new FLOROCLEAR is a great option for any angler. The engineers at P-Line have worked for years to perfect the process of combining Copolymer and Fluorocarbon technologies and the result is FLOROCLEAR, a line that has all of the most desirable features for the serious angler. FLOROCLEAR is made of two parts; a copolymer core and a fluorocarbon, silicon coating that is absorbed into the pores of the line. The copolymer is the same core material as our other lines, but is extruded to have very little memory. FLOROCLEAR gives angler's the best of both worlds: (1) The main advantage of fluorocarbon is invisibility, with a refractive index very close to that of water; the line virtually disappears once it enters the water. Low water absorption gives the line greater casting distance, and durability.(2) The advantages of copolymer lines are knot and tensile strength, durability, and abrasion resistance. They are just simply better than ordinary monofilament lines.What P-Line did was to develop a line that had the positive characteristics of fluorocarbon, and combined them with a copolymer line. Anglers now have a line with a diameter that is up to 30% smaller than other lines with similar rated pound tests.
