One of the most compact vertical windlass series available, the Sprint Anchor Windlasses? low profile design and the below deck mounting-motor leaves the foredeck clear and unobstructed. Developed for maximum efficiency, the spur gear box creates less amperage draw while allowing the use of smaller gauge wire. Above deck, the chrome-plated bronze upper unit weathers the marine environment while a rope/chain gypsy delivers uninterrupted handling of the rode, and a tension arm ensures hands-free operation by keeping gentle pressure on the rode to prevent slipping. Below deck, the integral permanent magnet motor and gearbox require no disassembly for installation and are supplied with a protective boot to guard against chain chafing. Sprint Windlasses are available in two configurations: Gypsy (G) and Gypsy/Drum (GD). The Gypsy models feature a rope/chain gypsy to handle all-rope rodes, all-chain rodes, and rope-to-chain rodes. The Gypsy/Drum models feature a drum in addition to the gypsy for additional control of rodes. All models include an up/down switch, circuit breaker, and mounting hardware.
